1. M1 CLUB GOALKEEPING

Club-Based Goalkeeper Development

M1 partners with youth soccer organizations to provide structured, position-specific goalkeeper development as part of the club's broader player-development pathway.

Training is built around the M1 Five — Mechanics, Movement, Mindset, Decision-Making and Match Understanding — helping goalkeepers develop the complete skill set required for the modern game.

What to Expect

Programs can be delivered weekly, seasonally, or through a customized club structure. M1 works collaboratively with club technical staff while providing goalkeepers with the specialized coaching and attention their position requires.

Who It's For

Goalkeepers approximately U8 through U19, grouped by age, stage and developmental needs wherever possible.

2. M1 TEAM GOALKEEPING

Goalkeeper Development Within the Team Environment

The goalkeeper doesn't operate independently from the team.

M1 Team Goalkeeping connects position-specific development with the tactical and technical demands of how a team actually plays.

What to Expect

Sessions can combine dedicated goalkeeper training with realistic activities involving defenders and teammates, developing:

Positioning · Communication · Distribution · Build-Up Play · Decision-Making · Team Shape

This allows goalkeepers to apply their individual skills within the situations they'll actually encounter on match day.

Who It's For

Competitive youth through varsity-level teams looking to better integrate their goalkeepers into their overall style of play.

3. M1 SMALL GROUP TRAINING

Focused Development. Shared Experience.

Small Group Training combines meaningful repetition and individual coach interaction with something equally important: training alongside other goalkeepers.

Goalkeepers are grouped wherever possible according to age, experience and developmental needs, creating an environment that is challenging, progressive and enjoyable.

What to Expect

Athletes receive focused goalkeeper coaching while benefiting from competition, shared learning and interaction with goalkeepers from different clubs.

It's not only an opportunity to improve — it's an opportunity to become part of the wider M1 goalkeeper community.

4. M1 PRIVATE TRAINING

Individual 1:1 Goalkeeper Development

Every goalkeeper's development journey is different.

M1 Private Training provides a highly individualized environment built around the athlete's age, experience, goals and current priorities.

Training Can Focus On

Mechanics · Movement · Decision-Making · Confidence · Match Preparation · Specific Performance Areas

Rather than following a one-size-fits-all session, training can focus on areas the goalkeeper wants to better understand, strengthen or refine.

Who It's For

Youth through advanced-stage goalkeepers who would benefit from focused individual attention.

5. M1 MATCH MENTOR

Game-Day Observation, Mentorship & Feedback

Some of the most important goalkeeper development happens where training ultimately matters — in the game.

With M1 Match Mentor, an M1 coach observes the goalkeeper in their natural match environment.

What We Observe

Positioning · Communication · Decision-Making · Tactical Awareness · Emotional Responses · Actions Without the Ball

Following the match, the goalkeeper receives constructive, development-focused feedback that reinforces strengths and identifies opportunities for growth.

Match Mentor helps bridge the gap between what happens in training and what happens on game day, while building a trusted mentoring relationship between goalkeeper and coach.

6. M1 MATCH REVIEW

See the Game Differently

Match footage gives goalkeepers something training alone can't always provide: the opportunity to go back, reflect and understand why something happened.

M1 Match Review uses an athlete's own game footage as a development and learning tool.

Your Review Can Explore

Positioning · Movement · Decision-Making · Distribution · Communication · Technical Execution · Match Understanding

The goal isn't simply to point out mistakes.

M1 helps the goalkeeper understand what they saw, why they made a particular decision, and what other options may have been available.

Over time, this helps build tactical understanding, self-awareness and greater ownership of performance.

7. M1 SKILLS CLINICS

Focused Training. Specific Skills.

M1 Skills Clinics provide concentrated goalkeeper development around specific themes and demands of the position.

Clinic Topics May Include

Handling · Diving · Crosses · 1v1s · Distribution · Footwork · Shot-Stopping · Movement · Decision-Making

Clinics can take the form of a single intensive session or a short multi-week series.

Athletes are grouped by appropriate age and developmental level, allowing for purposeful repetition, progression and coaching in a positive but challenging environment.

8. M1 GOALKEEPER CAMPS

An Immersive Goalkeeper Experience

M1 Goalkeeper Camps bring multiple areas of goalkeeper development together over several sessions or consecutive days.

Rather than focusing on one isolated skill, camps combine:

Technical Development · Movement · Decision-Making · Match Activities · Competition · Goalkeeper-Specific Learning

More Than Training

Camps also bring goalkeepers from different clubs together to train, compete and build relationships.

That sense of connection is an important part of the wider M1 goalkeeper community.

Who It's For

Primarily youth goalkeepers from grassroots through high-performance environments.

9. M1 GK DEVELOPMENT PROFILE

Understand Where You Are. Know What's Next.

The M1 GK Development Profile gives goalkeepers and their families a clearer understanding of where the athlete is today — and where their next opportunities for growth may lie.

Built Around the M1 Five

The assessment looks at:

Mechanics · Movement · Mindset · Decision-Making · Match Understanding

M1 coaches identify the goalkeeper's strengths, developmental priorities and practical next steps.

Each goalkeeper receives individualized feedback and a development plan designed to guide future training, recognize progress and encourage greater ownership of their development journey.

10. M1 DISCOVER GOALKEEPING

Your First Step Between the Sticks

Not every young player already knows they want to be a goalkeeper.

M1 Discover Goalkeeping gives children the opportunity to explore the position in a positive, low-pressure and age-appropriate environment.

Discover the Fundamentals

Players are introduced to:

Movement · Handling · Diving · Distribution · Decision-Making

No previous goalkeeping experience is expected.

The objective is simple: explore the position, enjoy the experience and discover what makes being a goalkeeper unique.

11. M1 NEXT STEP

Where Could Goalkeeping Take You?

As goalkeepers get older, development isn't only about the next training session. Questions start becoming bigger.

What's the next level? What opportunities exist? What should I be doing now?

M1 Next Step provides mentorship and practical guidance for older goalkeepers beginning to think seriously about what comes next.

Explore Your Pathway

Guidance can include:

Higher-Level Club Environments · Identification Opportunities · Varsity/College Soccer · Preparation & Standards · Longer-Term Opportunities Within the Game

M1 doesn't promise selection or "place" athletes. Instead, goalkeepers and families receive honest, experience-based guidance to help them make informed decisions while keeping education, enjoyment and long-term well-being in perspective.
