For Phil Michailides, that vision started with a simple idea: to share his passion for goalkeeping and help athletes become the best versions of themselves. What began as individual coaching sessions has grown into M1 Goalkeeping—an academy built on excellence, innovation, and a genuine commitment to developing goalkeepers both on and off the field.

Throughout his coaching career, Phil has become known for his attention to detail, innovative approach to goalkeeper development, and unwavering commitment to every athlete he works with. Whether coaching a young goalkeeper taking their first steps in the position or preparing experienced players for collegiate and high-level competition, his philosophy has always remained the same: every athlete deserves the opportunity to grow in a positive, challenging, and supportive environment.

Today, M1 Goalkeeping has become much more than a training program. It is a community built on trust, hard work, and a shared passion for the game. Through partnerships with clubs, schools, and organizations across Alberta, M1 continues to provide specialized goalkeeper coaching while helping athletes develop confidence, resilience, leadership, and a lifelong love for soccer.
